1. According to the laying and operating conditions, it can be divided into: overhead cables, direct buried cables, pipeline cables and underwater cables, etc.;
2. It can be divided into low-frequency cables (below 100 KHz) and high-frequency cables (above 12) KHz).
3. According to the structure of the cable core, it can be divided into two types: symmetrical cable and asymmetrical cable. Symmetrical cable refers to the same cable of two wires that constitute a communication circuit, such as twisted cable; asymmetrical cable refers to two wires that constitute a communication circuit, such as coaxial cable.
4. According to the insulating material and insulating structure, it is divided into: solid polyethylene cable, foamed polyethylene cable, foam/solid skin polyethylene insulated cable, polyethylene gasket insulated cable, etc.
5. According to the type of cable sheath, it can be divided into: plastic sheathed cable, steel wire steel tape armored cable, combined sheathed cable, etc.
